#Repost @ryansuenphotography with @get_repost ・・・ @trinhboobeys keeps telling me I have such low standards for myself. Cardboard box furniture, cots for a bed, questionable hygiene, and an overall “meh, that’ll do” attitude when it comes to comfort. Peasant, dirt bag, hiker trash. Looks ranging from intrigue to disgust from strangers and peers.⠀ ⠀ But then I think about nights like this one, that first night in Alaska. New travel companions, a massive glacier terminus laid bare below me, Milky Way setting through the night, northern lights dancing above, and cold mountain air in my lungs. Falling asleep to the sound of katabatic winds rushing down the mountainsides, fresh meltwater streaming into the valley, and ice calving as the glacier shifts under its own immense weight.⠀ ⠀ Some measure of discomfort in exchange for the world. Sounds like a steal to me.
